About Our Speaker: Noelle is the Founder of Small Acts. Small Acts provides education, training, and consulting for businesses implementing Waste As Resource and Zero Waste programs. Small Acts provides comprehensive education & training on compost, recycling, the URO requirements, and other diversion methods. We create action plans that expand businesses’ Zero Waste efforts successfully while limiting contamination and considering the bottom line. We work with companies on simplifying waste streams and the structural set up of programs. We support businesses in submitting their Annual Diversion Plans and Organics Diversion Plans to the City of Austin. Prior to founding Small Acts Noelle was the Organics Recycling Department Manager at Organics “ By Gosh” for 5 years. Organics “By Gosh” is a commercial compost facility located in east Austin, TX committed to the model of Zero Waste and creating regenerative products that benefit our community and the environment. Noelle Bugaj also works with the City of Austin, teaching compost and chicken keeping classes under the Home Composting & Chicken Keeping Rebates available to residents.
